Rice University's Biomaterials Lab is hosting a Biofabrication Workshop sponsored in conjunction with the Center for Engineering Complex Tissues. Course material will include advanced topics in bioprinting and biofabrication such as printing with cellular components, assessing printability of custom materials, and strategies for heterogeneous tissue engineering scaffold design. The one-day course will consist of lectures, discussions, and hands-on training using devices such as the EnvisionTEC Bioplotter and the Cell Ink BioX. Users will learn the basics of bioprinting along with more advanced strategies to design and print custom materials for a variety of applications. Registration for the February 26 course is free, and more information can be found here: https://bml.rice.edu/content/register-2018-biofabrication-workshop.
