Education and Knowledge Dissemination

As a Biotechnology Resource Center (BTRC), the dissemination of knowledge related to the design and fabrication of complex tissues is an important aspect of CECT. For instance, various undergraduate research programs train and educate undergraduates across all participating and non-participating institutions in the field of tissue and biomedical engineering. Students work in concert with their research advisor on the preparation and timely execution of their research plan. Professional development seminars are also provided on topics including basic laboratory safety, professional ethics, technical oral communication, and graduate studies in science/engineering.

Apart from several training programs and workshops supported by the center (please see the Training section), online tools such as a 3D printing database and various cell culture and biomaterial protocols are also available to the biomedical community. More information about these online tools can be found at the links below.

These sections will be constantly updated as the center continues to gather and disseminate relevant information for the scientific community. Please be sure to cite the proper references if accessing protocols or databases through the CECT website.
